What it will be
Status: forming — designed and tested with the founding cohort before it opens.
Game facilitation works — practitioners see it every session. What the field lacks is a shared, citable account of why and how: common terminology, documented methods, an ethical code, and research that a skeptical HR director or ministry can be pointed to. Research & Standards is where that body of knowledge gets built and kept.
Standards here are written in the open, with members — competency frameworks, ethics, methodology — and they do double duty: they anchor the certification program, and they give the profession a defensible public answer to "what exactly is it that you do?". This work is forming now, and it's the slowest, most important thing we'll build.

Already in the foundation
This page describes something in formation — but not something imaginary. The platform runs on one canonical data model, and this product is already part of it, behind a feature flag.
Publishing is live today. The platform's CMS already ships research notes, articles and announcements — with SEO and a translation layer across five languages.
The credential ladder is modeled. Six credential levels, from member through certified master trainer, exist in the canonical schema — waiting for the standards to fill them.
A Research Lab is designed in. Innovation-type hubs — including a Research Lab — are part of the hub model the community is already joining.
Standards feed certification. Certification programs, evidence and review workflows are modeled against the same framework this body of knowledge defines.
